Gifts & Memorials
This is a ministry to facilitate the collection, application, and acknowledgement of gifts to the church that are made apart from pledges and loose offerings. These gifts may be in monetary or material form with their desired use either designated or not. These gifts are often in the form of memorials to an individual or individuals. Contributions to specially designated funds, such as Flowers, Aumbry Candles, Rector's Discretionary Fund, etc., are not recorded or acknowledged by the Gifts & Memorials Committee.
The Committee maintains a "Wish List" of projects and improvements that have been suggested and have received Vesty approval. If you would like to view the detailed Wish List that was prepared in 2008, you can download the complete pdf file by clicking on the link here.
Since the previous wish list that was prepared in 2005, the following items have been completed:
Parish Hall windows: Replacement of the windows of the first floor of the original building (Parish Hall + Kitchen wing)
Front lawn sign: Modern, welcoming, lawn sign, new placement for better visibility, changeable service schedule.
Nave, Stations of the Cross: Framing of a new set of depictions—Dominican Wood-Cut Prints
Front Steps: Fix edges of front entrance crab-orchard stone steps. Some step replacement and overhanging lip removed.
Safety Lighting: Vienna Road side. Additional outside lights (Vienna Road, walkway to Church School wing)
Nave: Upgrade balcony seating and flooring for comfort and appearance of visitors to our larger services Replace wood benches with real pews.
Parish Hall: Computer Projection Equipment for presentations. Purchase of laptop plus digital projector/ PowerPoint presentations
Parish Hall: Bookstore shelves, with removable panels covering inventory and hiding the stage
